General Description
The steering angle sensor has a function to sense a steering angle and a velocity of a steering wheel.
The procedure is as follows: A drive turns a steering wheel ? Main/Sub-gear turns ? Rotation angle senses ? A steering angle is calculated. The EPS(MDPS) CM uses signals of steering angle sensor and controls for its restoring and damping control.
DTC Description
If the signal of main/sub sensor is out of a normal range, the EPS CM sets DTC C1290.
