CAN communication is applied to FTCSs( Full Traction Control Systems) installed in the vehicle to send requirement data, such as Torque reduction, the number of fuel cut cylinders, and TCS control requests, to the Engine ECM & TCM. The Engine ECM performs fuel cut functions according to requests from the ABS ECU and retards ignition timing by torque reduction requests. The TCM maintains current gear positions during TCS control time, in order not to increase power which causes a Kickdown shift.
The HECU monitor the CAN communcation lines for normal TCS control, and sets this code if an expected engine torque control by TCS is no longer accomplished.
Item
Detecting Condition
Possible cause
DTC Strategy
? CAN message plausibility check (TQ_COR_STAT)
? Engine inspection
? Faulty ECM
Monitoring Period
? The monitoring starts 2000ms after Power Up. The monitoring is passive during undervoltage conditions.
Enable Conditions
? The engine management system indicates, that the desire for intervention via ignition and injection is no longer accomplished. (TQ_COR_STAT=11)
Fail Safe
? ABS is not switched off.
FTCS is switched off after end of control.
? The ABS warning lamp and the EBD warning lamp are not activated. The TCS warning lamp is activated.
