When the intake air is compressed by the turbo charger, its temperature rises. While this air passes through the intercooler, it’s cooled by the ambient air. The air-cooled intercooler works efficiently at driving more than certain vehicle speed, which means that it cools the air well. Then in order to cool the air efficiently at stop or low-speed driving, the cooling fan attached to the intercooler is used.
P1630 is set when excessive current or "0"A is detected in Intercooler fan relay for more than 1 sec. This code is due to 1) short to battery in control circuit or 2) short to ground in control circuit.
