Passenger Anchor Pretensioner operates as a Second Belt Pretensioner if it gets into a deployment condition after a collision. It is located near anchor on Passenger seat and it makes up for the existing short stroke. Passenger Anchor Pretensioner is supported by two cables and it is an auxiliary to prevent a driver from breaking away as seat belt is being pulled toward anchor side after a collision.
Never measure resistance of Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger directly, Current of measuring device may cause unexpected airbag deploy.
The SRSCM sets DTC B173600 if there is a short to ground in Anchor Pretensioner front-Passenger harness.
*In this case, SRSCM checks if there's any fault in circuit by sending current for a while.
