Each control units such as BCM(Body Control Unit), CLU(Cluster), SMK(Smart Key), SJB(Smart Junction Box) are connected to Body CAN*¹ and they are made up of High and Low lines controlling the body circuit.
ESCL (Electronic Steering Column Lock) is a system to control the lock or unlock of the Steering Column.
It is installed on steering column and IPM is located inside of instrument panel, left knee of driver side.
It consists of ESCL control Module, IPM, SMK and SSB(engine Start Stop Button)
*¹ CAN (Controller Area Network) : CAN is serial bus communication type which links not only communication system but also control units each other.
This code is to determine power output of ESCL when ESCL steering wheel's release/lock function is not working.
This DTC is set when power circuit is short to ground during no power supply from SMK to ESCL.
